College Work
Attending college has been extremely beneficial to me because it put me in a creative environment, surrounded by art - be it people or literal pieces – and helped direct me in my imagination and style. Being able to bounce off other students and teachers with ideas, themes and research has helped me develop as an artist and as a person.

Rotoscoping
We used Rotoscoping at the start of the first year as it is a good introduction because it is a simple type of animation, albeit quite time consuming. Later, it also assisted with masking in other software such as After Effects or Premier Pro.
Mixed Media
I experimented with mixed media in the first year of my course to try and find more ways of how to use colour and texture digitally. We had one lesson a week to try and find new processes with paints, inks, pastels, etc. One of the pieces I created gave me inspiration for using an RGB split in one of my edits.

Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry is the process of creating a 3D image from 2D pictures taken with a camera. We had the task of re-creating the statue of the Malt Maker in Ware Town from photos taken with a DSLR cameras. The software used was called Mesh Room which essentially picks up vectors from the photo and starts to build a 3D model using them. The more pictures you take of the thing you are trying to re-create, the more accurate the outcome.
Life Drawing
Throughout the duration of my two years at the HRC I have been using life drawing to strengthen my drawing skills but also my knowledge on the physiology of human body and how it is proportioned. We also use this time to test out different techniques and styles that we can incorporate into our digital work.
